The Sulphur City Court was established by the State of Louisiana. Although the Court is called a City Court, Sulphur Court is comprised of the outlying areas of Carlyss, Sulphur, and in and outside the city limits of Westlake. It has authority to decide certain juvenile and criminal matters as well as civil disputes up to $20,000.00.
